Soccer predictions are aimed at people placing bets on soccer matches, trying to make money
off them. The 2014 Brazil World Cup has reached the end of its Group stage, as
it now enters the knockout stages in the Round of 16.
In
the World Cup opener, Brazil beat Croatia 3-1, though they might not have
deserved it. After getting a soft penalty which otherwise could have sent off
Neymar, Croatia also got the ball inside the net, but the referee denied them
the goal, which was also questionable. Then Brazil were held 0-0 by Mexico.
Even though Brazil orchestrated the match, Mexico was very dangerous on the
counter. Whenever Brazil cracked open the five man strong Mexican defense, they
found keeper Ochoa in the way. In their final Group stage match against
Cameroon, Brazil showed signs of greatness, which made the match one-sided on
possession, and Brazil advanced to the knockout stage with a 4-1 victory.
After
opening their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Australia, Chile went on to play
against Spain, who, in spite of having most of the possession, could not make
it count. Like the Dutch, Chile countered apart the Spanish, and looked quite
stylish in the process. Against the Netherlands, which was the group decider,
Chile was in control, and looked like the probable winner. But due to the
display of some fine counter attacking skills, Holland managed to beat Chile
2-0.
As
of now, no players are suspended and it is highly likely that Brazil will lead
the chase and Chile will look to reciprocate with blistering counters. Being a
knockout game, both teams will exercise caution more than what they had in the
Group games. If allowed to counter, Chile can harm any side, thanks to their
offensive firepower. Brazil, on the other hand, has the Neymar magic to bank
on, and they may end up winning 1-0, or even 2-0. This sums up the Brazil vs
Chile soccer predictions.
